General Information About Minerals

The main minerals and chemicals used in water treatment systems include activated carbons, ion exchange resins, and filtration materials such as anthracite and dolomite. Additionally, various accessories are designed and integrated into the system.

Filtration Materials:

Anthracite: Used for the removal of suspended solids. It serves as a filtration material for drinking water, pool water, wastewater, and process water.

Dolomite: Used to add minerals to the product water of reverse osmosis systems. It requires the presence of CO₂ in the environment to function. It absorbs CO₂ from water and releases Ca2+.

Aqua-Mandix: A filtration material used for the removal of iron and manganese.

Aqua-Semidol: Used to add minerals to the product water of reverse osmosis systems. It requires the presence of CO₂ in the environment to function. It absorbs CO₂ from water and releases Ca2+ and Mg2+.

Garnet: Used to reduce SDI (Silt Density Index) before reverse osmosis.

Zeolite: Highly effective in removing ammonia from water. It can also be used in various filtration techniques.

Cation Exchange Resins (Na+)

Used in water softening systems. Suitable for food applications. Grain size: 0.3-1.2 mm.

Cationic Resins (H+)

Utilized in demineralization systems.

Anionic Resins (OH-)

Employed in demineralization systems.

Mixed Bed Resins

Resins used to obtain high-purity demineralized water.

Ion Exchange Resins

Utilized in softening systems. Suitable for food applications. Particle size: 0.3-1.2 mm.

Activated Carbons

Powdered Activated Carbons

Coal-Based Powdered Activated Carbon: Used to reduce COD and remove color in wastewater treatment plants. Particle size is 200 MESH. Wood-Based Powdered Activated Carbon: Utilized as a decolorizing agent in the food industry. It can be used for patulin removal, especially from apple juice. Particle size is 100-200 MESH.

Granular Activated Carbons

Coal-Based Granular Activated Carbon: Removes free chlorine and organic matter from water. Particle size is 0.6-2.36 mm. Coconut-Based Granular Activated Carbon: Removes free chlorine and organic matter from water. Particle size is 0.425-2 mm.
