Steam Room
The temperature in the steam room ranges from 40°C to 45°C, with a humidity level of 100%. The floor in the steam room is typically channelled, and insulation is applied throughout the interior to prevent water leakage. The steam room generator is located outside the room.
In contrast, the sauna temperature is approximately 90°C. Unlike in the steam room, it is not necessary to use ceramic-type materials on the walls and ceiling in the sauna. The sauna’s generator is typically located inside the sauna room.
A channelled floor is not necessary in the sauna, and while the ceiling in the steam room may be sloped, it is typically flat in the sauna. While water resistance is a necessity in the steam room, it is not a requirement for the sauna.
