Can be easily used in both low and high-pressure systems. It is economical due to its high concentration and low dosage rate. It has a high dispersion rate and oxygen-reducing properties, distinguishing it from other oxygen scavengers. It protects steam-generating systems by chemically reducing dissolved oxygen under high pressure to prevent oxygen corrosion.
It can be safely used in aluminum alloy systems as long as the feed rate and pH increases are controlled. Since water and nitrogen gas are produced as by-products of reduction, it does not increase the alkalinity of the water nor necessitate boiler blow-off like sulfite-containing chemicals.
